[help for gameshark]
Q: What is a GameShark ?
A: First off: All these modules are additional hardware devices which you
need to own ! All those hardware modules do have one thing in common: They
are devices that allow you to cheat in games when codes are inserted. The
GameShark is the most known device of them even the original module was developed
by Datel in the U.K . GameShark licensed the module for use in the U.S.A.
The XPloder is a "clone" of the original version with much more features under
license of Blaze. There are more modules that are compatible with GameShark,
but these are too much to name. Please note that some of them are NOT compatible
with the GameShark. Please read in your manual of the corresponding device.
The good things about these modules: You can enable nearly everything you
ever imagined. For example let's take Final Fantasy: You can even manipulate
the characters items by using a special code.
Q: How do I use these modules ?
A: General instructions in detail are bundeled with each of the modules.
Gernerally you plug the modul into the expansion port of the console and switch
it to on. Then, when powering the Playstation/Playstation 2, you will see
a menu where you can enter or select the codes for the game.
Q: Are all the codes compatibel and what are all
those countries listed ?
A: Most common the codes for the modules are the same. That means: It does
not matter if the code is used with the GameShark, Pro Action Replay, XPloder
or similar devices. Problems do result of the Software Version of the Modules
(some codes do need at least version 2.2 or 3.x of the inbuilt module software)
and which country you are living in. Differences are: US-Versions , Japanese
Version and European Version. The European Versions can differ again by English,
German, French, Italian and Spanish Versions. You need to use the corresponding
codes to get your game cheated. Please keep in mind that NOT all modules are
able to use special codes.
